(PresseBox) (Hamburg, 25.08.2022) Tennant Minerals announced ASX: TMS; FRA: UH7 has Bluebird with its outstanding copper-gold discovery (63 m copper 2.1% copper and 4.6 g/ton gold) at Tennant Creek in the north. 

The region is likely to display the smallest part of a much larger system. This is backed up by new geophysical drone data that the company has now published for the first time.

They show twelve significant targets within a 2-kilometre radius around the bluebird, some of which have a much stronger magnetic signature than the bluebird itself (see Figure 1).

 Of particular note is the well-known advantage of circular magnetic gravimetry surrounding gold deposits, where previous shallow drilling results returned 50 g/ton of gold. 

Perseverance is 1.5 kilometers west of bluebird. Geologists at Tennant believe that the strong signature in perseverance may indicate a larger copper-gold system at depth.

What does this discovery mean?

The bluebird discovery is located on the eastern edge of the Tennant Creek Mineral Field (TCMF) historic mining area. 

TCMF produced more than 5 million ounces of gold and 500 kilotons of copper between 1934 and 2005 (see Figure 3).

 Results so far at Bluebird show significant similarities with metallic objects mined in the Tennant Creek mineral field such as Peko and Nobles Nob located about 20 kilometers west of Bluebird.

 The main difference is that all previous projects of the TCMF were developed on the basis of discoveries on the surface - exploration was carried out with a pick and a shovel.

 Tennant Minerals is the first company to use the latest hardware to provide a broader context for copper mineralization around Bluebird. 

Above all, the goal of perseverance takes on a whole new meaning due to recent data. One can assume that if the data had been known earlier, Tenannt would of course have trained first in perseverance and not Bluebird.

 There is much support for the geophysical explanation that historical discoveries of gold in perseverance may be the apex of the deeper copper-gold system. We are excited about the planned IP measurements.
